Love it or hate it, winter is here - which means it’s time to double down on your skincare. Between blustery weather and silly season overindulgence, it’s safe to say the cooler months can be pretty harsh on the skin.
But luckily for us, there are a plethora of products out there that can help - check out a few of our faves!
Sunscreen
Just because it isn’t hot, doesn’t mean your skin is safe from UV rays. You might not burn as easily as you do in the summer, but your skin is still susceptible to damage. Want to keep your skin looking youthful for as long as possible? Then turn your summer sunscreen habit into an all-year-round sunscreen habit!
Water
Again, this one might seem like it should be a summer beauty essential, and it is! But if there’s one thing winter causes it is dry skin. And the best way to rehydrate dry skin is with water. Plus if you’re anything like us, you’ll be drinking a little more regularly than normal over the festive season. So for the sake of your skin AND your head, keep sipping that water!
Body Moisturizer
We all love to neglect our body care during the winter months. Winter fashion often means your arms, legs, and torso won’t see the light of day until March (at the earliest). And out of sight, out of mind...right? WRONG! They might not be seen by the general public, but they still deserve the kind of love, attention, and moisture you’re affording your face. So stock up on your favorite full-body moisturizer and stay consistent!
Lip Balm
If there’s one part of your body that requires a little extra TLC during the winter months, it’s your lips. We’ve all experienced the havoc cold weather can wreak on them - windburn and chapping we’re looking at you. So lip balm is an obvious essential. Pop one in your bag so it’s on hand when you need it most!
Oils
Finally, oils. If you’re typically too nervous to incorporate them for fear of a greasy finish, winter is the perfect time to give them a try. They provide long-lasting hydration to thirsty skin and act as a barrier, protecting your face from cold winter winds!
